| Take a breather from shopping to watch a designer at work! |
Walk past a row of slinky, ready-for-yoga harem pants and head to the change room.
At Lululemon Lab — a design studio and retail space on Cambie and Broadway — trying things on is a must.
Because it's tough to choose from so many interesting, "that's cool" function-meets-fashion items: good for hipsters, good for fitsters.
(Think fashion-y cuts with technical fabrics and smart details like strategically placed mesh. Lots of stretch too.)

- You can watch things getting made thanks to its open design. We watched designer Jill busily working on a pattern for the men's line.
- Things are "sketched, sampled & sold in the lab."
- There's samples for sale. Woohoo!
- They have size 02s.
- Hungry for some lulu just for you? You can "build your own groove pants" on-site. Get crazy & mix your blues with your greens. Why not?
- Pants too long? Hemming is free on clean lululemon products.
(Pics: Just a few from a visit today, on the lab's one-year anniversary.)
